Nicolina Miranda, the matriarch of the Miranda family, was born May 2, 1917, in Dragoni, Caserta, Italy. She immigrated to the United States in 1954. Daughter of the late Michele and Luigia (Visco) Miranda. Predeceased by husband, Joseph Miranda; son, Michael Miranda; granddaughter, Dana Marie Tessitore; brothers, Ferndando Miranda and Fabio Miranda; sisters, Anna Miranda and Feluicca Campano. Survived by children, Antonette (Felix) Cassale of Rotterdam , NY, Louis (Mary) Miranda of Rotterdam, NY, Gilda (Guy) Benacquista of Malta, NY, Ida (Anthony) Bennice of Niskayuna, NY, Pasquale (Patricia) Miranda of Rotterdam, NY. Anna Miranda of Lake George, NY, Elio (Marlene) Miranda of Butler, PA. Deborah (Arthur) Curto of Clifton Park, NY; and daughter-in-law, Rita Miranda of Clifton Park. Survived by 20 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marion Miranda; devoted niece, Clara Sorrentino; sister-in-law, Marion Miranda, Rotterdam, NY; special nieces and nephews, several great-nieces and nephews. Calling hours Friday morning at St. Anthony's Church, preceding the Mass, from 10 to 12. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 12 noon, at St. Anthony's Church, Seward and Park Place, Schenectady, NY. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Brandywine Avenue, Schenectady, NY. Arrangements are under the direction of Daly Funeral Home, Inc.
