Obituary of Margaret Montgomery

Margaret A. Montgomery Schenectady Margaret A. Peggy Montgomery, 60, of Albany St., died Saturday, February 4, 2012, at home, after a long and courageous battle with diabetes. Peggy was born in Schenectady, the daughter of Raymond and Joy Sherman. She was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School, the class of 1969. Peggy will always be remembered as a professional and a hard worker at the jobs she held, from law offices to working in Albany at various jobs for New York state. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Montgomery, in 1990. Peggy is survived by her companion, Herbert Regels, Jr.; lifelong friends, Shirley and David Phinney; the family she acquired through life, Herbert and Mabel Regels, Sr.: godchilden, Kiearah, Eileen, Megan and Angel; three siblings, Thomas, Daniel and Laura Sherman; aunt, Jane Watts; cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, John Sherman. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5 to 6:30 at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady.
