Madeline Wonders Moreau, 74, of Chrisler Ave., passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Ellis Hospital after a short illness. Born in San Diego, California, Madeline lived in Hawaii through the bombing of Pearl Harbor, moving to Lexington, KY, for a number of years and has been an area resident since 1950. She was a nurse's assistant at the Glendale Nursing Home for many years before retiring. Madeline is survived by a husband, Henry Moreau, of Florida; a brother, George Wonders, and a niece, Kim Peart-Grigas, both of Rotterdam; she is also survived by several great-nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Sunday afternoon, 2 p.m., at the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St. An hour of visitation will precede the service from 1 to 2 p.m. Interment private.
