Guilderland - Judy J. Nagy, 72, of West Lydius St., died Sunday, July 22, 2012, at Ellis Hospital. Judy was born in Schenectady, the daughter of Joseph and Sadie Nagy. She played many instruments and had played in the Mont Pleasant High School Band, where she graduated from, in 1958. Judy loved participating in sports, especially playing softball with the Jimmy Girls and bowling, having bowled with the Olympic League and the Atomic League for many years. During her life she was able to spend time at Sacandaga Lake and always treasured the time spent at the lake. In later years, she was interested in cocker spaniel rescue, the dogs usually ended up being adopted by Judy. She worked at Ellis Hospital as an operating room technician, retiring in 1991, with 35 years service to the hospital. She is survived by her life partner, Gretchen Booth, her mother Sadie Nagy, one sister, Carol Bouck, two nephews, Joseph and mark Bouck and special pals Sophie and Bella Calling hours Thursday afternoon 1:00 to 2:30 at Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady, forllowed by a graveside service at 3:00 p.m. at St. Adalbert Cemetery, Rotterdam. Memorial contributions may be made to Cocker Pals Rescue, Box 351, Hobart, NY 13788.
