Rotterdam - Paschal "Pat" Parillo, 90, passed away peacefully at Ellis Hospital, McClellan Campus, on Wednesday, November 18, 2012. Pat will now be able to be with the love of his life, Elsie, who passed away in 1994.
Born in Susguehanna, PA, he moved to Schenectdy in 1942. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII. Pat worked for the Army Depot for a number of years, then for the General Electric Company, as a welder for 18 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church (formerly Our Lady of Assumption) and the Sampson Navy Beterans Assoc.
Pat is also predeceased by a brother, Liberato Parrillo and sisters, Josephine Tarbox and Lucy Parrillo.
Surviviors include 2 Step-Children, Mary Zoulas and John Durante, a brother Carlo Parillo, 3 Great-Grandchildren, who affectionately referred to him as "Poppy"; John Zoulas, Spero Zoulas, Christina Pfaller and 8 other Great-Grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren, Hannah Zoulas and Jillyan Pfaller.
Funeral service, Saturday morning at 9:30 from Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady and 10:00 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. An hour of visitation will precede the service, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment, Park View Cemetery, Schenectady.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Ellis Hospital McClellan Campus Rehabilitation Center, for their loving care of Pat, who has been there for the past 3 years.
