I just learned of Mrs. Patka's passing. I had Mrs. Patka for several classes at Mohonasen and loved her! I remember very well when she was pregnant and couldn't put shorthand formats on the blackboard she picked me to help her and ended up buying me a "Worlds Greatest Teacher" statue for helping her. She was the "Worlds Greatest Teacher". Your all in my thoughts and prayers. RIP Mrs. Patka!

Mrs. Patka..you were by far the best teacher I've ever had.... Her method of teaching wasn't just about "school" related things, classroom behavior or grades... she taught us life lessons and it was evident she sincerely cared for each and every one of us.......Mrs. Patka had a rough and strict way in her classroom, but it was followed by a soft and genuine interior, that made you just love and respect her as a teacher, person and friend... Its surreal to think its been 14 years since I've graduated, but a few months ago I ran into Mrs. Patka at Sunnyview Rehab in Schenectady, we sat and talked about family, her health, my health and life.....next time she came in she brought chocolate for me, the therapists, and friends she had and made their.....lol....thats Mrs Patka.......although she was battlin with her own health problems, she took the time to give to others...i think thats a part of her legacy..a giver...a friend...and a wonderful teacher.....I'll never forget her, and the things shes taught me..... Words cannot express how deeply saddend I am to hear about this tradgic loss. My best wishes and prayers go out to you.....Sue & Michelle if you or your family needs ANYTHING please don't hestitate to call me.518-365-8395......I wish your family well and I'll continue to pray for you...God bless you both....... always know that your mother is in a better place and one day you WILL see her again........Thats HIS promise..xoxo

Mrs. Patka was an ispiration to all. Not only was she a great mom, but the best teacher Mohonasen School District has had. She will be greatly missed. My dearest sympathies to her family during these tough times.
