Obituary of Glen Pepicelli

Glen Brent Pepicelli NiskayunaGlen Brent Pepicelli, 36, of Niskayuna, died at home on May 10, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family. He suffered from Crohn's disease most of his life. He was born on June 22, 1975, in Schenectady, the beloved son of Lewis and Doris Olbrich Pepicelli. He was a 1993 graduate of Niskayuna High School, a graduate of SUNY Albany and Schenectady County Community College. Throughout the years, Glen was employed as a computer programmer for several companies and in recent years was employed as a computer consultant. Glen's quick wit and sense of humor will be greatly missed at family and holiday gatherings. Besides his parents, he is survived by his brother, Darren (Jennifer) Pepicelli; and niece, Victoria; uncles, Paul (Eleanor) Olbrich, Reiner Olbrich, Robert Pepicelli; and aunt, Gail (Robert) DeCesare. He is also survived by cousins, Gerard, Christine, Sean, Tracie, Bruce Dean and Keith; and his dog, Christmas. Glen's family wishes to express their appreciation for the compassionate care he received from the Hospice nurses. Funeral service Monday, May 14 at 8:15 a.m. from the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St. and 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Sunday evening, May 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment, Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
