Schenectady - Margaret M. Pfister, 89, formerly of Coplon Ave., died Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at the Baptist Health and Rehabilitation Center. Margaret was born in Hudson, moved to Albany as a child and was a graduate of Vincentian Institute. She worked for Warner Brothers in Albany, later working as a library assistant at the Niskayuna High School. She enjoyed sewing, playing bridge and winters in Vero Beach, FL and had been a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Charles G. Pfister; he died in 1994. She is survived by four children, Charles (Molly), Robert (Ann) James and Marggie Pfister; a sister, Elaine (Bill) Curran; eight grandchildren, Christine, Robert, Frank, Cindy, Lori, Amanda, Jackie and John; eight great-grandchildren, Devin, Milan, Anthony, Gianna, Sophia, Sammy, John and Zachary and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Bob Miller. Funeral service Tuesday morning, 9 o'clock at the Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Church (formerly Our Lady of Fatima Church) where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. There will be no calling hours. Interment, Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Memorial contributions may be made to Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 2216 Rosa Rd., Schenectady, NY 12309.
