Schenectady - Marion Pritchett, 103, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away on April 4, after a brief illness. Marion, the daughter of Charles and Irene Cowell, was born and raised in Schenectady and lived there most of her life. She was a graduate of Schenectady High School, and was formerly employed at General Electric, where she met her husband. She was an active lifetime member of Bellevue Dutch Reformed Church. Her family was the center of her life. She was a lover of flowers, especially African violets, and she loved playing cards with her family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack Pritchett, and her daughter, Carol Grobe. She is survived by her daughter, Marjorie (Hechmat) Tabechian of Rochester, and sons, John (Mary Lou) Pritchett of Manlius and Don Pritchett of Denver, CO; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and two grandnieces. She is also survived by a nephew, Howard (Arlene) Pike of Chatham. The family wishes to thank Thompson House in Brattleboro, VT, for the wonderful care they have given to Marion while she was a resident there. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a favorite charity . Graveside services will be at Vale Cemetery on April 12, at 11 a.m.
