Obituary of Molly Pustolka

Please share a memory of Molly to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Molly Pustolka went to Our Lord on Saturday, February 6, 2010. Born in Schenectady, NY, she attended local schools, graduating from Nott Terrace High School in 1932. She was vice president and secretary of M.C. Pustolka Inc., pipeline and welding contractors. She was a former member of South Schenectady Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, a former member of Bishop Gibbons Mother's Club, and a communicant of St. Madeleine Sophie Church. Molly enjoyed her music and even though she was unable to play her piano or draw her pictures of landscapes and birds, due to arthritis and deteriorating eye site, she could always listen to classical music or enjoy her operas. This provided her with many hours of joy and she especially liked to share the experience with others. Molly, too, was very supportive of her children and grandchildren, and never missed an opportunity to remind us of the importance of family. For this we are eternally grateful. She is survived by her children, Michael L. Pustolka, Sr. (Sharon), David Pustolka of Basalt, CO, and Claudia Lewis (Donald); grandchildren, Michael, Jr. and Brian Pustolka, Lori Tasick (John) of Massachusetts, David and Kevin Fogarty; great-grandchildren, John and Jack Tasick, and Kevin Fogarty; two nieces, Sylvia Smith and Delores (Herb) Bates. Mrs. Pustolka was predeceased by her husband, Michael C. Pustolka, and grand- daughter, Robyn Fogarty. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady, and 11:30 a.m. at St. Madeleine Sophie Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. A calling hour will be held one hour prior to the funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Madeleine Sophie Church c/o Parish Enhancement and Debt Reduction Fund, 3500 Carman Rd., Guilderland, NY 12303.
