Obituary of Dorothy Romanelli

Dorothy M. Nehring Romanelli, 100, formerly of Dahlia St., died Thursday, September 29, 2011, at the Maplewood Manor in Ballston Spa. Dorothy was born in Canada and moved to Schenectady as a child, where she attended local schools. She had been a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. She was predeceased by two husbands, Vincent Nehring, Dominic Romanelli; and a daughter, Shirley Kotch; and several siblings. Dorothy is survived by three children, Vincent (Marilyn) Nehring of Florida, Eileen Crow of Charlton and Lynne Walendziak of Schenectady; 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, and a sister, Kathleen Heverly of Glenville. Funeral service will be held Tuesday morning 10 a.m., at St. Joseph's Church (State and Lafayette) where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated; relatives and friends are invited to attend. There will be no calling hours. Interment, St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 505 N. Parkway, Memphis, TN 38105.
