Barbara Famiano Cicciu Rossi, 92, formerly of Glenville, died Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at Ellis Medicine Rehabilitation Center (McClellan Campus). Barbara was born and educated in Schenectady, the daughter of Anthony and Maria Famiano. For many years she co-owned the Cavalier Restaurant with her sister, Florence Giaquinto, later, working as a waitress at the Turf Tavern for many years. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Rossi. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Ron) Sheehan of Hadley; a brother, John Famiano; three grandchildren, Colleen (Michael) Rohan, Michael (Josephine) Sheehan and Cathy (Tom) Aspenleiter; six great-grandchildren, Kyle and Ayden Rohan, Alexandra and Patrick Sheehan and Sydney and Ryan Aspenleiter and many nieces and nephews. Barbara was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Louis, Frank, Florence, Rose and Lucy. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning 10 o'clock at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church (Our Lady of Assumption Church), Princetown Rd., Rotterdam. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Schenectady. Memorial contributions may be made to Hole in the Wood Camp, 97 Hidden Valley Rd., Lake Luzerne, NY 12846.
