Obituary of Paul Rowland

Paul Austin Rowland, 69, of Jefferson St., died Saturday, April 23, 2011, with his companion of 22 years at his side. He was born and educated in Corinth, the son of Clauson and Barbara Jayne Rowland. Paul was a U.S. Marine, serving during the Vietnam era. For many years he was a printer at the Gazette, later working for Burns Security. He was a member of the VFW Post 1895. Paul is survived by his devoted companion, Mary Jane Mosher; five children, Scott (Jodie) Rowland, Daphne Combs, Rhonda Irving, Michael Rowland, Blaine (Brandie) Rowland; a sister and brother, Mary Jane Kennedy and Gary (Joyce) Rowland; six grandchildren, Paige, Ericka, Cecily, Joshua, Michael and Ava; extended family, Charles G. Mosher II, LoriLee Allaway, Rachel, Michelle and Thomas; and 10 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be held Thursday morning 10 to 11 at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Interment Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, with military honors at 12:30. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Ronald McDonald's House.
