Joseph David "Jody" Schiltz, 49, of Broadway, died Saturday, January 2, 2010, at Ellis Hospital, surrounded by his family, after a long illness. Jody was born in Albany. He was a graduate of Guilderland High School and Eastern New Mexico University, where he graduated with a bachelor's in fine arts. He was a genius on the keyboard. He is survived by his parents, Betty (Joe) Spadaro and Sylvester (Beth) Schiltz; one sister and four brothers, Donna (Al) Schadow, Steve (Lisa) Schiltz, Chuck Schiltz, Jim (Suzanne) Schiltz and Doug Schiltz; three nieces and two nephews, Jessica and Kristen Schadow, Devon, Stephen and Andy Schiltz; many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins; and dear friend and penpal, Christine. Funeral will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady.
