Mary A. Shaw, 90, of Parkwood Blvd., died Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Kingsway Arms Nursing Home, after a short illness. Mrs. Shaw was born in Schenectady, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Maloney. She was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School and The College of St. Rose. Mary earned her Master's degree at Albany State Teachers College. For several years, she taught business courses for Wells and Mayfield school districts. She had been a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church. Mary was married to Robert Shaw; he died in 1985. She is survived by one son, Robert (Wanda) Shaw of Union, KY; two grandsons, Thomas and Kevin Shaw; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service on Wednesday morning at 10:30 from the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady, and 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours on Tuesday evening 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Interment, Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
