Frank J. Sisto, 95, formerly of Glenville St., Rotterdam, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 1, 2010, at Glendale Nursing Home after a short illness. Born in Rotterdam Junction, he was a lifelong area resident. Frank worked for the General Electric Co. for over 37 years, working in the plating department and later retiring from the Research and Development Center. Frank was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club, the former Our Lady of Assumption Church, the Holy Names Society and St. Vincent DePaul Society and was a Eucheristic Minister. He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise Lapiere Sisto; daughter, Frances Gilson (Jack) of Schenectady; three grandchildren, Jennifer Gilson (Steve), Courtney Piercey (Victor) and Jacques Gilson; four great-grandchildren; three step grandchildren, Ann Snyder (Rich), Joseph Mudrey and Larry Mudrey; and three stepgrandchildren, Jessica and Danielle Snyder and Sarah Eberly. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predecased by a brother, John Sisto. Funeral services, Tuesday morning 8:15, from the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., and 9 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, formerly Our Lady of Assumption, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment St. Cyrils Cemetery, Rotterdam. Calling hours, Monday evening 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
