Felicia A. (Cantore) Skelton, 90, formerly of Onondaga Road and Van Antwerp Village, Niskayuna, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 22, 2010 at the Baptist Retirement & Health Center in Scotia, NY, after a brief illness. Born in Schenectady, Felicia was the daughter of Anthony and Felicia (DeMuro) Cantore of Muro Lucano, Italy. She graduated from Mont Pleasant High School and worked for several years at the Schenectady Trust Company (now Trustco). Her husband of 30 years, Dr. Frederick M. Skelton passed away in August of 1999. Her previous husband, Theodore P. DeAngelis passed away in September of 1974. She was predeceased by several sisters and brothers, Lena (Jack) Kelsey, James (Grace) Cantore, Catherine (Pat) Donato, Patrick (Pauline) Cantore, Josephine (Joseph) Massaroni, Albert (Alice) Cantore, Mary (Louis) Friedman, Rose Cantore, Evelyn (Jack) Mele, Anne (James) Chryssanthis, Alfonso "Sonny" Cantore, and Aurora (Peter) Montenaro. She is survived by her daughters, Mary (Michael) Wade of Niskayuna, NY, and Vicky DeAngelis of San Diego, CA, Kate (Charlie) Roos of Kerrville, TX, Fred (Nikki) Skelton of Baton Rouge, LA, and Joe Skelton of New Orleans, LA; grandchildren, Miranda (Jeff) Klawitter of Lemoore, CA, and Marisa (Rich) Hoogkamp of West Chazy, NY, Ben Skelton and Melanie Skelton Bartholomew; great-grandchildren, Gina Chuba and Isabella Klawitter of Lemoore, CA, Aidan and Chane Hoogkamp of West Chazy, NY. Felicia is also survived by countless nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday, the 26th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan Street, Schenectady, NY. Funeral services will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, February 27th at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association .
