Obituary of Darlene Smallarz

Darlene Smallarz, 53, of Broadway, passed away December 26, 2009, at Ellis Hospital. Darlene was born and educated in Silver Beach, NY and was a daughter of the late Charles and Anabel Smith. She was employed by The Ramada Inn and Ellis Hospital in Schenectady throughout the 1980s and 1990s in the housekeeping department. Most recently, Darlene worked for Price Chopper on Eastern Parkway in the deli department. Darlene was predeceased by her husband, Floyd Smallarz, who died in 2004. Survivors include her son, Chad Smallarz; grandson, Kyle Smallarz; four sisters; one brother; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Darlene Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Daly Funeral Home. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the service
