Obituary of Jean Smith

Niskayuna- Jean Eleanor Smith died Thursday June 25, 2009 peacefully after a lengthy illness. Jeannie was born in Amesbury, MA the daughter of Roy and Miriam Smith and was raised in Wilton, NH. She was elected to the National Honor Society and was the salutatorian of the graduating class in 1965. Jeannie also completed the advance studies at St. Paul's School in Concord, NH. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of New Hampshire where she earned a BA degree in economics. She began her career as a financial analyst and consultant for Schenectady area companies including General Electric, Kzane Corporation and Keybank. She was an active member of Business and Professional Woman's clubs of NYS. She is survived by her sister Ruth Smith of Wilton, NH and stepchildren Colleen Pratico and Scott Zielinski and, many lifelong friends. Calling hours will be held Tuesday evening 6 to 8 at the Daly Funeral Home 242 McClellan Street Schenectady.
