You and your family are in my prayers, Mary. Having lost my husband more than a year ago, I DO feel your pain! Such a shock to be handed the newspaper obituary with the news, on my first day back to work today. I was in the Philippines Dec 3 to Jan 8, so I missed the services. Please call if there is anything I can do to help. May God keep him in His Love, and may He console you in your loss. With deepest sympathy, Fe McCarthy & Vida McCarthy Cerrito

I have only known Matt for a short time through our work together in the Albany-Colonie Chamber of Commerce. In that short time, he has been every helpful to me both personally and professionally. I want to express my sincerest condolences to all his family. I know how proud he was of his family and I am sure he will be sorely missed by all who had the honor of knowing him, but none as much as his dear, beloved family. May you find peace.

It was a very sad moment to learn today that Matt has passed away. He was a friend and someone I always enjoyed running into at business functions or working with to help some small business owner. Matt was always in a good mood and enthusiastic about helping others. He will be very missed by me and our community. Our region has lost a good man. My prayers and sympathies go out to his family, friends and all that loved and knew Matt.

To Matt's Loving Family, I curled with Matt for almost 20 years at the Schenectady Curling Club. He was my skip at times and at other times he curled on my team. He was always fun to curl with and off the ice he was a great guy to be having a beer with. I will always remember his friendship and curling expertise. Linc Cathers,

We are all in shock. Our deepest sympathies to Matt's family. The only thing that lit up his face more than talking about the business was talking about his family. He was so proud of his family. He was a great adviser and gave us the confidence to start our business. He was more than a business adviser, he was a good friend and will be greatly missed.

Matt, as he let all the kids at YEA call him by was a incredible man. He was kind, patient, and always gave us his full undivided attention. Many times he stayed after class with me and another student talking over how we could improve ourselves in the business world and never turned us down when we asked him for his time. He was a great great man and although i've only had the pleasure of knowing him for the past three months, he will be greatly missed.

Matt, I will miss our bike rides and more importantly the conversations we shared while riding. You were an inspiration to your neighbors as well as your family. We were shocked and saddened by your sudden departure. My wife and I's most sincerest condolences to the family. You were the absolute best next door neighbor we have ever lived next to, and we lived in 13 states. A beautiful flower now blooms in heaven. In loving memory, Dave and Twila White

I am so sorry for your loss. I also work for the SBDC and had the pleasure of golfing on the same team as Matt a few years ago. He definitely carried the team and was very gracious to those of us of lesser talent. I enjoyed seeing him each year at the annual training. His smile made everyone feel as though he was a friend. He will be greatly missed.
