Obituary of Lillian Stanco

Lillian Stanco, beloved wife of the late Michael A. Stanco, passed away quietly after a short illness. She was 86. Lillian belonged to many volunteer groups and clubs including St. Clare's Ladies Auxillary, the Ladies of Charity, Niskayuna Garden Club and the Cotillion Dance Group. She also volunteered at Ellis Hospital. She spent much of her time in the company of family and friends. Now her presence will be greatly missed by many. Lillian is survived by a daughter, Noreen Stanco-Jones of Saratoga; two sons, Gary Stanco and his wife, Judi of Henderson, Nevada and Robert Stanco of Troy; one surviving brother, Richard Squillace and his wife, Elaine; three grandchildren, Jason Stanco and his wife, Maria, Jessica Stanco-Gaffney and her husband, John, Rhea Stanco McNamara and her husband, Sal; cherished great-grandchildren, Michael and Katerina Stanco and Jadelyn and Michala McNamara. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. from the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan Street, and 12 p.m. at St. Anthony's Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetary, Niskayuna. An hour of visitation will precede the service at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony's Church.
