Obituary of Ingeborg Straub

Ingeborg Leiste Straub, of Colonie, passed away Friday, March 12 2010, at Ellis Hospital after a long illness. Born in Egeln, Germany, she worked for New York Telephone, which became Verizon, as an accounting clerk for 24 years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Wife of the late Joseph Straub, she is survived by her two sons, Ralph Straub and Robert Straub and his wife, Peggy of Colonie; three grandchildren, Barrett Straub, Erik Straub and Kimberly Straub; and a great-grandson, Cameron Straub. Funeral services are private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association , P.O. Box 11454 Alexandria, VA 22312 or the National Kidney Foundation , 30 East 33rd St., NY, NY 10016. Arrangements are by the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan Street.
