Alejandrino "Chico" Surano, 84, formerly of North Brandywine Ave., passed away Monday, September 12, 2011, at the Baptist Health and Rehabilitation Ctr. Born in Puerto Rico, he was raised and educated there, moving to New York in the 1950s. He was employed at the United States Post Office, Jay St. Branch for many years, then at the Heritage Office before retiring. Member of the Guan-Ho-Ha Fish and Game Club, he also helped in the concession stand for Belmont Pop Warner. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who also loved gardening. Suvivors include two sons, Miguel Surano and his wife, Kim of Schenectady, and James Surano; also survived by a grandson, Alexander Surano. Funeral service, Friday afternoon, 1 o'clock at the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St. Visitation will precede the service from 11 to 1. Interment, Vale Cemetery, Schenectady.
