Robert Taylor Obituary

Robert J. Taylor, 54, of Michigan Avenue, passed away on Monday morning, June 1, 2009 at his home. Robert was born January 26, 1955 in Schenectady, a son of the late Raymond and Mary Curran Taylor. He was educated in Schenectady and faithfully served in the United States Army. Robert was employed by Atlas Copco in Voorheesville as an assembler for 15 years. He was a member of the American Legion in Voorheesville. Survivors include his wife, Rose Miller Taylor, whom he married August 11, 1979; two daughters, Danielle and Sandra; three grandchildren, Kayla, Gionna and Anthony; siblings, Daniel (Sheryl) Taylor of Schenectady, James Taylor of Oilton, OK, Rose (Paul) Davis of Fultonville, Raymond (Kathy) Taylor of Broadalbin, and Annemarie (Ed) Snow of Hudson; and nine nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Layna Taylor. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. from the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan Street, then to St. Luke's Church, State Street, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Daly Funeral Home, Thursday from 11:30 a.m.to 1:30 p.m., prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211.
