Andrew M. Tetlak, 77, of Rose St., formerly of Albany St. and Charleston (Montgomery County), died Saturday at home after a short illness. Born and educated in Avoca, PA, the son of Andrew and Mary Tetlak, he moved to Schenectady in 1954. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Andy worked at United Baking Co. prior to working at the General Electric Co., where he worked as a machinist, retiring several years ago. Andy was married to Anna Yager Tetlak; she died in 1999. He was also predeceased by his son, Richard Tetlak and sister, Mary Ann. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Jo Krause of Fultonville; daughter-in-law, Lynn Tetlak; siblings, Joseph Tetlak, Bernadine Sarnowitz, and Michael Tetlak; five grandchildren, Charlene Parsons, Scott Tetlak, and Josh, Nathan and Amanda Krause; several nieces and nephews; and his "lady friend," Mary Brown. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Calling hours Tuesday evening 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Schenectady, 1411 Union St., Schenectady, NY 12308.
