Obituary of Robert Tygert

Robert F. Tygert, 74, died Monday, March 14, 2011, at Ellis Hospital. Mr. Tygert was born in Schenectady, son of Robert W. and Evelyn Hakansson Tygert. He was a graduate of Draper High School. Mr. Tygert was self-employed, owning his painting company for 50 years, retiring in 2005. Robert is survived by his wife, Judy Brown Tygert; his children, Karl C. Tygert of Schenectady, and Karen Tygert of Delanson; six grandchildren; a brother, Clifford D. Tygert of Scotia; son-in-law, George Taylor, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Kathryn L. Taylor and his sister, Leatrice Jones. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 27th, at 4 p.m. at Shiloh Church, 951 Congress St., Schenectady, NY. Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady, NY.
