In 1979 she retired from nursing. Following the death of her husband Lewis in 1996, Nathalie moved to Bridgeport, NY where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law. In 2004 Nathalie returned to the Rotterdam area. She was a longtime member of Carman United Methodist Church in Rotterdam, the Rotterdam Senior Citizens, and the Cicero Senior Citizens-Young at Heart.
