Edna M. "Pat" Gross, 88, formerly of Eastern Parkway, died Sunday, July 25, 2010, at the Baptist Health and Rehabilitation Center, Scotia. Pat was born in Schenectady, the daughter of Rubin and Mary Patnode and was a graduate of St. Columba High School. For several years, she worked at the Maqua, later working for the Gazette for 20 years as a clerk, retiring in 1981. She was a communicant of St. Helen's Church, where she was also a personal housekeeper to Fr. James Kane. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis "Frank" J. Gross. He died in 2007. Survivors include two children, Michael (Donna) Vosburg of Green Cove Springs, FL, and Patricia "Annie" Oleksak of Ballston Spa; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; and a niece, Gloryann Hill of Guilderland. Funeral service Friday morning, 8:30 from the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady and at 9 o'clock at St. Helen's Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours, Thursday evening, 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Interment, Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 125 Wolf Rd., Albany, NY 12205.
