Thomas E. Boehm, 58, of North Ferry St., died Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at home, suddenly. Tom was born in Schenectady, the son of William and Angelina Lomini Boehm. He was a graduate of Linton class of 1969, Laffayette College and earned his master's in business administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. For several years he had worked for the Capital Newspapers in the advertising department, later working as a social studies teacher at Schenectady High School. Tom enjoyed working as a wood working counselor at several summer camps in the Adirondacks and in New Hampshire. He was predeceased by his father, William Boehm. Tom is survived by his mother, Angelina Boehm of Glenville; a brother and sister, William Boehm of Hoosick and Carla (Edward) Sloan of River Forest, IL; his wife, Nicky Boehm; two stepchildren, Sara Ehlers and Kris Casey; and nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. at the Trinity Presbyterian Church, 185 Swaggertown Rd., Glenville. There will be a reception to follow at the church. Interment will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Autism Speaks, 5422 Wilshirs Blvd., Suite 200, Los Angeles, CA 90036.
