Obituary of John Weatherwax

John H. Weatherwax, 78, passed away peacefully at home. Born in Scotia he was a lifelong area resident. John worked for the State Assembly in inventory control for a number of years before retiring. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include three sons, David J. Weatherwax and his wife, Barb of Hilton Head, SC, James M. Weatherwax and his wife, Lorene of Alexandria, VA, Mark J. Weatherwax and his wife, Catherine of Schenectady; a daughter, Linda McDonough and Peter of Schenectady; six grandchildren, Caitlin, Ami, Eric, Adam, Amanda and McKenzie; also survived by three great-grandchildren; a loving sister, Norma F. Donovan (Peter) of Montvale, NJ and a dear cousin, Virginia Bennett (Richard) of Rotterdam. Funeral service Monday morning at 11 o'clock at the Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. Calling hours Sunday evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady.
