Margaret Q. Winkler Scotia Margaret "Marge" Winkler, 91, formerly of Wren St., died Sunday, February 21, 2010, at the Baptist Health and Rehabilitation Center. Marge was born in Saratoga Springs and was a graduate of Saratoga High School. She moved to Scotia many years ago. She had been a bookkeeper for Mahoney's Hardware for over 30 years, retiring in 1995. Marge was a member of St. Elizabeth's Auxiliary #93, a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and a member of the Rosary Society. Marge is remembered as a devoted wife of Fred H. Winkler. They married in 1942 and he died in 1980. She was the cherished mother of Tom (Dawn) Winkler of Glenville, Jerry (Yvette) Winkler of Rotterdam and Nancy (Gary) Maxwell of Burnt Hills. She is also survived by two sisters, Lois Quilty of Queensbury and Janet (Paul) Eichman of Hendersonville, TN; four grandsons, Thomas Winkler, Gregory (Annie) Winkler, Kevin (Laura) Winkler and Jason (Gina) Winkler; one great-granddaughter, Lily Winkler; and nieces and nephews. Marge was predeceased by a brother, Retired Colonel Jack Quilty. Funeral service is Thursday morning at 8:45 from the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady, and 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church (First St., Scotia) where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours are Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Church, 45 MacArthur Dr., Scotia, NY 12302 or Baptist Health and Rehabilitation Center, 297 N. Ballston Ave., Scotia, NY 12302. Members of St. Elizabeth's Auxiliary are requested to meet at the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 7 o'clock.
