Kathryn H. Wright, 88, formerly of Glenville, passed away peacefully Friday, July 9, at Ellis Hospital. Born in Scranton, PA, Kathryn has been an area resident most of her life. She worked for the former Bond's clothing store and several other area clothing stores as a tailor for many years, retiring when she was 63. Kathryn was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, the St. Clare's Hospital Auxiliary, the St. Elizabeth's Auxiliary of the Knights of St. John, as well as volunteering for the Red Cross. Wife of the late Henry Wright, who passed away in 1974, she was also predeceased by four sisters, Josephine Coggins, Margaret Laxton, Marie Clark and Leona Fahey; and two brothers, John and Mark Mullen. She is survived by her son, Robert Wright and his wife, Leilani of Glenville; two grandchildren, Keelia Kentor and her husband, Zach and Michael Wright and his fiancee, Melissa Gambatese; a sister, Ruth Mercuri of Moscow, PA; and a brother, Joseph Mullen of Scranton, PA. Funeral service Wednesday morning 8:15 from the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., and 9 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, Route 50, Glenville, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours Tuesday evening 7 to 9. Interment will be private.
