Obituary of Emma Zimolka

Schenectady - Emma E. Zimolka, 88, of Onderdonk Rd., Glenville, formerly of Third Ave., Mont Pleasant, died Sunday, May 13, 2012, at her son's home after a long illness. Emma was born in Schenectady, the daughter of Robert and Louisa Lee. She was a graduate of Draper High School. Emma will always be remembered as a hard worker, working through the years, at times self-employed and other times working for others, including the Golub Corp. at the Price Chopper on Watt St. before retiring a few years ago. Emma was an active member of the Messiah Lutheran Church. She was married to Joseph K. Zimolka; he died in 1979. She is survived by two devoted sons, Robert (Karen) Zimolka and Michael (Marilyn) Zimolka; six grandchildren, Heather, Sean, James, Michael, Heath, and Heidi; six great-grandchildren; and special extended daughter, Lynn Grimm. Funeral service Wednesday at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady at 10:30 a.m. Calling hours will be Tuesday evening 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
