Schenectady - Emma E. Zimolka, 88, of Onderdonk Rd., Glenville, formerly of Third Ave., Mont Pleasant, died Sunday, May 13, 2012, at her son's home after a long illness. Emma was born in Schenectady, the daughter of Robert and Louisa Lee. She was a graduate of Draper High School. Emma will always be remembered as a hard worker, working through the years, at times self-employed and other times working for others, including the Golub Corp. at the Price Chopper on Watt St. before retiring a few years ago. Emma was an active member of the Messiah Lutheran Church. She was married to Joseph K. Zimolka; he died in 1979. She is survived by two devoted sons, Robert (Karen) Zimolka and Michael (Marilyn) Zimolka; six grandchildren, Heather, Sean, James, Michael, Heath, and Heidi; six great-grandchildren; and special extended daughter, Lynn Grimm. Funeral service Wednesday at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady at 10:30 a.m. Calling hours will be Tuesday evening 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Entombment, Evergreen Memorial Park, Colonie. Memorial contributions to Community Hospice of Schenectady, 1411 Union St., Schenectady, NY 12308 or Messiah Lutheran Church, 2850 Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY 12306.
