Obituary of Marylee Raspante

Niskayuna - Marylee Raspante, 78, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2013. Born on August 15, 1934 in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Steven and Rhea Shaw. Marylee was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and lived the majority of her life in Niskayuna. She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Joseph William Raspante; her daughter, Cheryl Ann Phillips; two grandchildren, Justin Charles Phillips and Deanna Nichole Phillips, as well as two great-grandchildren, Rain Joseph Phillips and Tanya Dia Cauley. At the request of the family, there will be no memorial service. Marylee loved animals and she took much pleasure in observing wildlife and in her own dogs. Memorial contributions in memory of Marylee may be made to a favorite no-kill animal shelter or other wildlife charity of choice. Special thanks to all of her caregivers at Guilderland Nursing Home for their care and kindness over the years that she resided with them.
