Obituary of Shirley Goodspeed

Schenectady - Shirley "Ms.Tubbs" LaDuke Goodspeed, 56, passed away at home with her loving family and friends at her side. Shirley was born in Schenectady the daughter of the late Delphine (Labombard) LaDuke Lombard and Francis LaDuke and was a lifelong area resident. She was a private home health aide for many years who was loved by every- one who knew her. She is survived by her loving companion, Gary Mason; former husband, Stephen Goodspeed; sons, Stephen (Leah) Goodspeed and Fredrick (Crystal) Goodspeed; daughters Delphine (Sean) Richmond and Sherylyn (Michael) Berger; sisters, Dorothy (David) Lavarnway, Sandra Lanigra, Rita (the late Ralza) Jaquish and Linda (Rallis) Cohn, brothers Gerald Bubby (Linda) LaDuke, Richard (Marylou) LaDuke and Ernest LaDuke; 18 grandchildren; many step-grandchildren; and many many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her brother, Gary LaDuke and stepfather, Emory Lombard. The funeral service will be Friday 1 p.m. at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Calling hours will precede the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Following the burial there will be a gathering at Moose Lodge on Lower Broadway.
