Obituary of James Bollinger

James E. Bollinger, 73, of Autumn Run, passed away peacefully Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010, at Ellis Hospital following a long battle with kidney disease. He was a lifelong resident of Schenectady, a graduate of the Albany College of Pharmacy, and owner of McLane's Pharmacy. Jim was a member of the Board of Trustees for Albany College of Pharmacy, the Assessment Review Board for the Town of Rotterdam CAPS, and a charter member of Rotterdam Sunrise Rotary. He is survived by his devoted wife and caregiver, Joyce, whom he married in 1958; a son, Jim Bollinger (Dotty) of FL; two daughters, Judy Friello (Chuck) of SC, and Jackie Mattice (Dave) of Rotterdam; five grandchildren, Bryan Friello, Jennifer and Greg Mattice, and Ashley and Sara Bollinger. Funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St. Calling hours, Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rubin Dialysis Ctr., 21 Crossing Blvd., Clifton Park, or the Albany College of Pharmacy, 106 New Scotland Ave., Albany. The family wishes to give special thanks to the Rubin Dialysis Center, Dr. Page Salanger, and Dr. Tony and Sue Mastroianni.
