Obituary of Helen Ostrowski

Schenectady - Helen M. Ostrowski, 95, of DeWitt St., died March 25, 2013, at home, peacefully. Helen was born and educated in Schenectady. At one time she worked at the General Electric Co. as an assembler, retiring many years ago. She was a dedicated homemaker and mother. She loved to knit, sew and tend to her garden. Helen had been a communicant of St. Mary's Church. She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Robert J. Ostrowski Sr., in 2005. She was also predeceased by a son and daughter, Stanley R. Ostrowski and Margaret D'Arcangelis. Helen is survived by her son, Robert J. Ostrowski, Jr. of Schenectady; six grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild and nieces and nephews. Funeral service Tuesday morning, 11:30 from the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady and 12 noon at St. Luke's Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. A calling hour will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 at the funeral home. Interment, St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady.
