Obituary of Mary Jablon

Schenectady - Mary P. Jablon, 99, passed away Friday, March 29, 2013 at Kingsway Arms Nursing Home. Mary was born in Scotia, the daughter of the late Katherine and Anthony Pietrykowski and was a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School, worked for the Union Star Newspaper as a secretary, was a member of the Annie Schaffer Senior Citizen Center and a communicant of the former St. Thomas Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard M. Jablon; and their son, Mark Jablon. Mary is survived by her two grandsons, Michael and Christopher Jablon, and many nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be Wednesday 10 a.m. at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. A calling time will precede the service from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday. Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
