Obituary of Rose Guerra

Queensbury - Rose Campriello Guerra, 79, of Queensbury, New York and Schenectady, New York, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013 , peacefully at home. She was born March 11, 1934 in Schenectady, NY, the daughter of the late Andrew Campriello and Sadie (Cornell) Campriello. Rose graduated from Draper High School in 1952 and during her senior year, she met her husband. She worked at Genearl Electric for a short period of time. Rose then married the love of her life and moved to Buffalo, NY while she worked and her husband went to dental school. For more than 40 years, Rose managed her husband's dental practice , while raising a daughter. She loved spending time with her family and friends at Lake George and was anxious to make it her permanent home after her husband's retirement. Since marriage, Rose had great enjoyment from her Boxer dogs throughout her life. Survivors include her devoted husband of more than 56 years, Dr. Joseph G. Guerra; her beloved daughter, Jolee A. Guerra and her longtime companion, Joseph F. Smith; her wonderful dog, Dutchess; and her grand-dog, Brandy Rose. She is also survived by several cousins and other family members. Funeral, Wednesday; at 8:15 a.m. from Daly Funeral Home, Inc. and 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Tuesday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment at St. John's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Rose's memory, to Our Lady of Victory Homes of Charity, 780 Ridge Road, Lackawanna, NY 14218.
