Obituary of Margaret Dwyer

Schenectady - Margaret M. "Butch" Dwyer, 71, of Consual Road, died Friday, April 5, 2013 at Ellis Hospital, after a short illness. Butch was born in Schenectady, the daughter of Edward and Margaret Walsdorf Dahlin and was a graduate of Scotia Glenville High School. She had worked for the New York State Department of Motor Vehicle as a title processor and had worked in the Agriculture and Market Department, retiring in 2005. Later working for Yankee Trail as a Tour Escort, she thoroughly enjoyed her job and loved to tell the stories she experienced in her travels. Her favorite pastime was with her grandchildren and attending their sports activities. She was a member of St. Elizabeth's Auxiliary and a communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Church. She was predeceased by her husband, John "Jack" Dwyer who died in 2003. Margaret is survived by two sons, Kevin (Kathy) Dwyer of Scotia and John (Annmarie) Dwyer of Saugerties; siblings, Doug (Wendy) Dahlin and Patricia (Stephen) Macejka; five grandchildren, Carly, Gregory, Shawna, Katelyn and Michael; cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Donald Dahlin. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, 11:00 a.m.. at St. Paul the Apostle Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, at a later date.
