I met Pops through Johnny,it just happened that one day i was on the phone talking to Johnny when pops stopped over for a visit and Johnny handed pops
the phone,I was really nervous but after talking a few minutes with him it was as if I had known pops for years.
He was very interested in everything about Australia which made for a long wonderful conversation which didn't last just minutes but hours,from that first phone call and another two that followed in time after that we always enjoyed talking and having a good laugh,pops had certainly won a place in my heart.
I remember Johnny asking pops if he would like me to send up A News paper
from Australia and pops said to Johnny that he would have trouble reading it because everything would end in A's in stead of er because of the way Aussies talk , But Johnny told pops that we do spell words with er and not to worry he would have no problem reading it,I thought that was so sweet,so I did send pops an Aussie News Paper which he really enjoyed reading.If I could say one thing to pops it would be,I am so proud and glad to have met you and will always treasure and never forget the things that we spoke about,you are and were a very sweet,kind ,wonderful gentleman who will be so very much missed ,forever remembered and forever in my heart,Thank you pops,R.I.P,
