Obituary of Matthew Borkowski

Schenectady - Matthew D. Borkowski, 67, passed away August 8, 2012. Matt was born in Schenectady, the son of the late Matthew and Sophia Borkowski and was a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Mont Pleasant High School and worked for Milivac Instruments for many years, most recently as a shop foreman. Matt was also a longtime communicant of the Church of St. Adalbert. He is survived by his brother, John (Elizabeth) Borkowski; niece, Melissa (Philip) Korducavich; nephew, John J. (Carolyn) Borkowski; great-nieces and nephews, Spencer, Parker and Eliza Korducavich. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of St. Adalbert, Wednesday 9 a.m. Interment will be in St. Adalbert's Cemetery, Rotterdam. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Ave., Scotia, NY 12302 or the City Mission of Schenectady, 425 Hamilton Ave., Schenectady, NY 12305.
