Schenectady - Veronica A. Swift, 65, of Waldorf Pl., died Thursday, May 23, at the St. Peter's Hospice Inn. She was born in Amsterdam, and devoted herself to her children and grandchildren. Veronica will be remembered as a kind, wonderful lady, whom her family gained strength from during her courageous battle with cancer. Veronica is survived by her husband, William Swift; five children, Bobby (Betty) Pike, Tina (Boe) Buskey, Kathy (Wendell) Capozzelli, Daniel (Faye) Horton and Veronica (Walter) Horton; one brother, John Cook, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A calling hour will be held Monday from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady.
