Obituary of Catherine Caschera

Scotia - Catherine Cappy Caschera, 68, of Scotia, entered into her eternal rest, Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Ellis Hospital. Catherine was blessed to have her two sons and family members by her side when she passed away. Catherine was born in Schenectady on April 3, 1945, a daughter of Pasquale and Julia Zampella Caschera. She was a graduate of Linton High School, Class of 1963. Catherine was a loving mother, sister and friend, who always put the needs of others first. Catherine is survived by her two sons, Peter J. DiCaprio Jr. (Tammy) of Baltimore, MD, David DiCaprio (Sue) of Coral Springs, FL; grandchildren, Dominic, Cadey, Nicholas, and Julia DiCaprio; loving siblings, Pasquale Caschera Jr. of Schenectady, Beverly Guido (Mike) of Schenectady, Marie Sampson of Clifton Park, Grace LaSala (Robert) of Weston, FL, Nancy Cote (Larry) of Rotterdam, Michael Caschera (Debbie) of Glenville, Laura Peacock (Ken) of Centerville, OH, and Lorraine Seber of Schenectady, and Dolores Caschera Nebolini of Schenectady (predeceased); also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral service Monday morning 8:15 from the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St. and 9 at St Anthony's Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be private. Calling hours will be Sunday evening 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
