Obituary of Kelly Pfaffenbach

Niskayuna - Kelly M. (West) Pfaffenbach, 43, lost her courageous battle with dignity and gracefulness on Friday, June 28, 2013 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY. Kelly was born in Schenectady, the daughter of Doreen Benaquisto and Royal West. She was a graduate of Niskayuna High School and Ithaca College. Kelly was employed at General Electric as a project manager. In addition to her parents, Kelly is survived by her loving husband, Kurt Pfaffenbach; most precious daughter, Julia Rose; stepdaughter, Lauren; her loving sister and best friend, Natalie (Michael) Raduazzo; nephew, Christopher Raduazzo; her mother and father-in-law, Connie and William Pfaffenbach; brother-in-law, Karl (Penny) Pfaffenbach; sister-in-law, Debbie (Peter) Gardiner; nephews, Christopher Raduazzo, Robert and Brian Gardiner; niece, Megan Gardiner; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Kelly's kindness, compassion and love were shared equally among all her friends and family. Her glistening hair, genuine smile and engaging personality were admired by everyone. She would light up a room with her presence, and her laughter was contagious. Kelly was a selfless and devoted wife and mother that never took anything for granted creating special memories with them was her priority in life. She felt truly blessed to be surrounded by so much love, and appreciated everything that life offered her. Kelly's family would like to thank the nurses and aides and staff of St. Peter's Hospital Oncology Floor, in addition to Dr. Christian Gasson, Dr. Nina Wu and Dr. Joseph Choma and Dr. David Goetz of Ellis Hospital. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 2, 9:15 a.m. from Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady, then to St. Joseph's Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Calling hours will be Monday, July 1 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Schenectady.
