Obituary of Harold Carlson

Durham, NC - Harold A. Carlson, 87, died Monday, July 8th at Durham Regional Hospital, North Carolina. He was a past resident of Niskayuna, Florida and the Carolinas. After serving in the US Air Force, he attended New York University and received a degree in mechanical engineering. He went on to have a long, devoted and well-respected career with the General Electric Company. He developed outstanding expertise in the field of gas turbine technology and was inducted into the GE Elfun society. He is survived by his wife, Georgia of Raleigh NC; two sons, Richard Carlson of Old Orchard Beach, ME, Jeffrey (Nancy) Carlson of Niskayuna; two grandchildren, Erik and Erin Carlson; and a great-grandchild, Layla Carlson. A private memorial service and interment were held at Memory Gardens in Colonie on Friday, July 12.
