Obituary of Ryan Salamone

Niskayuna - Ryan Michael Salamone passed away on Tuesday, July 23 at his home in Niskayuna. Ryan was born December 21, 1988. He attended CBA, graduated from Scotia Glenville High School and attended Hudson Valley Community College. He was currently pursuing a career in Nano Technology Sciences. Ryan earned a third degree black belt in Tai Kwon Do and was involved in boy scouting; he attained the rank of Life Scout. Ryan enjoyed snowboarding, snowmobiling, cars, motorcycles and was an avid photographer. He loved vacationing with his family. Ryan recently discovered his creative, artistic talent and was producing beautiful drawings. He was employed by Merry Builders; he truly enjoyed working with his hands and credited his talents and knowledge to his Pop and Poppy. Ryan had a great passion for life and loved his family with all his heart. Ryan was the beloved son of Nicole (Cassella) and Keith Matlick, Michael (Wendy) Salamone; the adoring brother of Ashlyn and Michaela Salamone; stepbrother to Kyle Matlick. He is also survived by his loving grandparents, Bradley and Darlene Cassella, George and Elsie Salamone, and Charlotte Matlick as well as aunts and uncles; George and Vera Salamone, Michael Cassella, Renee and Lee Wilson and many cousins and relatives. Ryan was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Jacqueline V. Cassella. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan Street, Schenectady, NY. A service will be held on Friday morning, 11 a.m. at Daly Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Animal Protective Foundation (53 Maple Ave Scotia, NY 12302) in honor of his four legged nephew, Bronco (aka Monkey).
