From the first time Ernie and I met we were instantly family. We didn't miss a beat. He supported me, gave me advice and loved me like a father. Ernie would not let Brian think twice about being with me and treating me right! He was always on my side.
I remember when Ernie let me drive his Monte Carlo SS! Talk about trust!!!
My fondest memory of Ernie was when he made a trip to Florida just to watch me play one of my college games. This meant the world to me. I don't always remember games, but I remember this one and I remember playing my heart out for him!!!
Ernie's love for Brian and I was above and beyond. I can remember when Ernie would drop us off at the airport after a visit and I would turn around to say goodbye, he would have tears in his eyes! You could tell he was proud of both of us and loved us so much.
I will never forgot Ernie Skyping for the first time. We would skype Ernie so he could interact with Carson (his grandson). When Ernie finally figured out how Skype worked, his first comment was, "this is the best thing since sliced bread!"
Ernie will forever be my number one fan and I will forever love him!!!
