Reenie and Dan: I am very sorry about Al's/your Dad's untimely death. He was a truly great man, with a great sense of humor--and vocabulary, as was noted. I have missed him greatly during my past decade here in Wisconsin. I didn't have enough time between receiving the obituary notice (through Caring Bridge) to book a flight and arrive in Schenectady in time for the wake or funeral. I plan on going back to Albany for a visit--and will plan on seeing you, Reenie. We'll talk later about that. On the other hand, if you need an escape--please come and visit me--Madison is an amazing town. Love, and wishes for anything that comforts you.

Dear Maureen: I was Allen's physical therapist a few years back in Saint James Square. I don't know if you remember me but I sure remember Allen. I had so much fun with him. He had such a great sense of humor and was really an inspiration. I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope you will be comforted by the many memories of fun times you had together. Allen really was a special person. Sincerely, Barbara Burgess
