Schenectady — Betty Mae Perry, 76, peacefully and quickly passed from this world to a world of peace and love forever. Betty leaves behind many who loved her dearly, whose lives she touched with her warmth and love.
Betty's smile and laugh would always fill a room. She was a woman of tremendous faith and always walked a path of truth and righteousness. She felt in life, that her belief and faith in God carried her through many of life's blessings and crossroads. Betty cherished every moment spent with her family and we will truly miss every moment lost.
Betty enjoyed volunteering her time to her church, Abounding Grace, and to both their music and children's ministry. Betty retired from GE after dedicating over 25 years of service. She continued to be involved by volunteering her time to the GE Quarter Century Club.
Betty was born Betty Mae Moorby, December 13, 1936, in Moriah, NY, and was taken home on October 14, 2013. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Robert Perry; parents, Kenneth and Mae Moorby ; and brother, Robert Moorby.
Betty was a loving mother to her four daughters, Lynne (Tony) Piscitella, Kim (Robert ) Pangburn, Donna (Larry) Cagnina, and Kelly (Steve) Grabkowski. Betty was blessed with 11 grandchildren, Jennifer, Melissa and Taylor Mae Piscitella, Kane, Kayla, Kerri and Kristy Pangburn, Frank Jr., Robert Perry Cagnina, Lily and Perry Grabkowski. Betty was also blessed with one great-grandchild, Gianna Cagnina. She also leaves behind her siblings, Nancy Moorby, Glenn Moorby, Linda Lefaver, George Moorby, and Marion MacGowan.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m., October 16, 2013 at Daly Funeral Home Service will be held at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Thursday, October 17, 2013, at 10 a.m.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. We will miss you mommy!!!!!
